Summary of Educational Philosophy
The Board of Trustees and SABIS® believe that strong connections between home, school and community are critical to the positive growth and development of our children. Therefore, HCCS will continue to place particular emphasis on:
- Building close and respectful relationships with the families of the students it serves;
- Promoting active parental participation in the life of the school;
- Providing continuing education for parents; and
- Encouraging community service within the school and the broader community.
HCCS will reflect the rich cultural diversity of the Holyoke community by implementing a specially-designed SABIS® curriculum developed especially for Holyoke, offering programs and activities for students and parents, and hiring a diverse school staff.
